Write your Will Online (for free!) with Bequeathed and Will to Give 

We’ve teamed up with Will to Give and Bequeathed. 
You can now write your Will for free online using Bequeathed’s online will-writing platform via Will to Give. 
What is Will to Give? 
East Belfast Mission is a proud member of Will to Give. 
Will to Give represents a group of over 60 of Northern Ireland’s most loved charities with a diverse range of causes including health; medical welfare; animals; aged; education, training and SEN; and disability, working together to encourage people to leave a charitable donation in their Will. 
What is Bequeathed? 
Bequeathed is an online Wills provider carefully chosen by our partner Will to Give to help you write or update your Will online for free. 
The service was set up by solicitors and has been reviewed by Northern Ireland law firm Cleaver Fulton Rankin
Not only does Bequeathed provide a secure way to make or update your Will, you can also write it from the comfort of your own home at a time that best suits you, including saving it and coming back to it later. 
Will to Give pays an annual fee to Bequeathed. As a member of Will to Give, we can offer our supporters this service. There is no obligation to leave a gift to East Belfast Mission but we hope that you consider it. 
How does it work? 
Visit the Bequeathed website- here. Once you are on the Bequeathed website you just need to: 
1. Create an account with them. 
2. Answer a few questions, such as which country you live in. 
3. Start writing your Will, following the prompts Bequeathed gives you. If you have any questions, there is plenty of help available throughout the process. If you need any legal advice, you can ask Bequeathed to refer you to its partner law firm in Northern Ireland – Cleaver Fulton Rankin. You will be able to arrange a face-to-face or online meeting for a fee, which you will agree in advance. 
4. Download your Will, print it, and get it witnessed. Bequeathed has guidance on its website on how best to do this during social distancing. 
Who can use it? 
This free Wills service is available to people 18 or over who live in Northern Ireland.

We understand your priority is looking after your loved ones, so there is no obligation to leave a gift to the East Belfast Mission, but we are so grateful to you for considering it. 
If you do choose to leave a gift in your Will, you will be leaving a lasting legacy that will allow us to keep changing lives in East Belfast, creating a brighter future for everyone in our community. 
It can seem overwhelming to create or change your Will. But the reality is that making, or even updating, a Will is easy. It will also give you peace of mind knowing that your wishes will be carried out. 
When you are writing or updating your Will you can leave a legacy of hope by leaving a gift to East Belfast Mission, to help us to fund our support our community work, including our Hosford Homelessness services, our Employability project which helps people back to work, our Irish Language project to connect a divided community and of course our thriving church community which offers community groups, counselling and pastoral care to those who need it.

Leaving a gift in your will for East Belfast Mission is simple!  
All you have to do is find a solicitor or legal advisor, create a will and choose to leave a gift for East Belfast Mission.

You can choose a number of ways to support us: 
1. Leave a share of an estate (a residuary gift) 
2. Leave a cash gift (a pecuniary gift) 
3. Leave specific items to the charity

A gift in your Will to East Belfast Mission can be an effective way to reduce the amount of Inheritance Tax charged on your estate. 
If you leave 10% or more of the net value of your estate to East Belfast Mission it will reduce the rate of Inheritance Tax from 40% to 36%.

If you have already made a Will and now wish to add East Belfast Mission as a beneficiary, you can ask your legal advisor to help you amend your will or to help you to complete a simple Codicil Form. 
A Codicil is a supplement that alters or adds to an existing Will which you must keep alongside your Will. You don’t need this form if you haven’t yet made your Will.
