Beyond the statistical figures, we aim to see a clear behavioural change in many of our children and young people – moving them from disinterest and fear of others to a sense of trust and involvement. Many local children, teenagers especially, show no interest in the future. It is our hope that we can instill a self-confidence that will allow them to access educational and fun sessions and avoid bad influences of the local area. Even trips to the cinema or a night of eating pizza together, are real treats for local young people who rarely get the chance to attend social outings, resorting instead to gathering on the streets.
