Should you become homeless for whatever reason we make sure to treat you with respect as an individual, matching services to fit individual needs by:
• Caring ‘about you’ rather than ‘for you’
• Adopting the role of enabling and encouraging you, not controlling and directing
• Spending time ’doing things with you’ and not ‘doing for you’
• Going at your own pace
• Meeting with you and other agencies when it is needed and only with your permission
• Helping you with practical things like cooking, getting benefits sorted out and budgeting your money
• Helping look towards resettlement into appropriate accommodation
• Helping you with regards to looking at options for education, training or any alternative schemes that are out there
• We will not push you into doing things you do not want to do
We want to help you as much as you are willing, and we will not push you into doing things you do not want to do.
