Stepping Stone - Homework Centre

HRH the prince of wales and lady mayhew meeting with the rev. jim rea and mr henry bannister in the homework centre, 7th july 1994

Our original concept of general youth work has developed into a HOMEWORK STUDY CENTRE in the evenings and an afternoon programme of handicrafts, cookery, Bible related art work and sporting activities. Each of these ventures have approximately 100 children and young people on the roll.

Over the past four years the leader of the HOMEWORK STUDY CENTRE have been indebted to the teachers and helpers who have consistently given their time. Due to a favourable report from the Prince's Trust, the Belfast Education and Library Board provided a computer and library materials.  On 7th July HRH The Prince of Wales visited the centre to see our work.
