The re:furb project, funded by DOE’s Rethink Waste Campaign, will intercept donated furniture that can be refurbished or reupholstered before selling through the re:store shops. Previously fewer donations could be accepted if they did not reach a certain standard and this was simply because the goods were “sold as seen”. Due to the project, furniture can now be stripped down, repainted, recovered and even made fire retardant before being sold through the re:store shops.

Nick Cave is the appointed furniture restoration manager at re:furb. A team of placements are also on–board and there is a lot of buzz in the units as the furniture is prepared for re–sale.
If you are interested in refurbished goods, ring re:store Newtownards Road on 90731879 or contact your local re:store for more information.
